Happy 102nd Birthday, Sr. Ermelinda!

Celebrating 102 Years of Life and 85 Years as a Baptistine Sister

March is the month of many celebrations. But none will be more joyful than those for Sr. Ermelinda Cordasco, C.S.JB. If 1st and 50th birthdays are noted with joy, what shall we say of a birthday that marks 102 years of life? Happy Birthday, to our dear Sr. Ermelinda! We thank God for her gift of such a long life. A life spent in loving service to hundreds of girls and boys – students of every age.

The most treasured mark of Sister’s many years is the moment of grace when she answered God’s call to religious life and began a remarkable life-journey with her God and God's people. This year Sr. Ermelinda celebrates 85 years as a Sister of St. John the Baptist. Congratulations and God’s blessings, Sister!

In her advanced years, Sister puts many of us to shame as she devotes hours praying for each of us and using modern technology (computer) to keep in contact with her family, friends and students. From our hearts we say: “Thank you” and “God bless you”. May you have many more years of health and happiness. We use the words of St Paul: “We thank our God whenever we think of you. And when we think of you, we pray with joy! (Phil: 1:3)

Send cards to: Mt. Saint John Convent, 150 Anderson Hill Rd., Purchase, NY 10577
