FOUNDED
1922, a private Catholic school – owned and operated by the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, independent from the Archdiocese of New York

LOCATION
7 acre campus in the Arrochar section of Staten Island, borough of New York City

All girls 9-12 High School – 510 girls
Coed Pre-K-8 Elementary School – 214 boys and girls

DIVERSITY
SJVA students are of all races and ethnic backgrounds. African-Americans, Asians, Native Americans and Hispanics compose 20% of the elementary school body. The majority of students who attend SJVA are of the Christian faith, but a growing percentage (19%) are of other religious affiliations.

ACCREDITATION
Villa is accredited by the Archdiocese of New York and Middle States Association

ACADEMICS
Strong academic curriculum with advanced placement courses, Scholars Program, Major Course of Study option and new laptop/computer lab. Graduating students are accepted at top high schools and universities in the area and beyond.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS
After school and summer school programs are available for enrichment.
